Slalom – Dog Agility course
AG16/A
The Slalom is a must on the dog agility course, designed to develop coordination, rhythm and concentration outdoors. Made up of a row of evenly-spaced poles, it invites the dog to weave between each pole at a controlled speed, accelerating as he progresses. Accessible to all levels, it can be approached with close guidance (short leash, target, treats), then independently for fluid support and gaze work. This agility obstacle promotes physical fitness, proprioception and the human-dog bond through fun, progressive exercises. Ideal for communities, dog clubs & schools, public spaces, campsites and leisure centers, the slalom can be integrated into a complete outdoor dog run or installed as a stand-alone module. Designed for long-term outdoor use, it comes with installation advice, site-specific anchoring options and quotation and maintenance services for long-term, safe operation.
Function
Slalom lets you work on coordination, rhythm, proprioception and concentration on agility poles.

Frequently asked questions about our equipment
What concrete benefits does Slalom bring to the dog?
Slalom simultaneously trains the dog’s lateral coordination, sense of rhythm and proprioception. By repeating the weaving between the poles, the animal improves its flexibility and ability to anticipate changes in direction. It’s also an excellent exercise in concentration and strengthening the handler-dog bond.
From what age and for what breed of dog is this slalom suitable?
Slalom is suitable for adult dogs from 12 to 18 months of age, once their bone growth is complete. It is suitable for all breeds, from small terriers to large sheepdogs, as long as speed and progression are adapted to the animal’s morphology.
How is the slalom fixed to the ground? What type of installation is required?
The Slalom is designed to be anchored to the ground using concrete anchors, guaranteeing perfect stability even during intensive use. Installation is carried out on flat ground, grass, stabilized soil or concrete. Professional installation is recommended to respect the spacing defined by agility standards.
Are the materials used certified for use in public spaces?
Yes, Herkules Fitness equipment is designed in compliance with current European standards for outdoor sports facilities. The galvanized steel used meets the durability and safety requirements for public spaces, including areas frequented by children and animals.
What maintenance is needed to keep the slalom in good condition?
Slalom requires very little maintenance, thanks to its galvanized anti-corrosion treatment. Regular visual inspection of the posts and protective caps is sufficient in most cases. If a cap is damaged, it can be easily replaced to maintain optimum safety for dogs.
Can the Slalom be integrated into a complete agility course with other apparatus?
Absolutely. The Slalom is designed to be combined with all the apparatus in the Herkules Fitness dog agility course range: tunnel, footbridge, high jump or break table. It can be positioned at different points along the course to vary the sequences and adapt the difficulty to the level of the dogs.
