Overview

High Bars - Dog Agility Course

Barres Hautes is a dog agility obstacle designed to train high jumps and develop muscular power.

The animal must jump over one or more bars positioned at an appropriate height, coordinating impulse and landing. The biomechanics of this equipment place heavy demands on the hind limbs for propulsion, and on the trunk to stabilize the body during the aerial phase. This equipment promotes explosive, coordinated and precise jumps.

Frequently asked questions : High Bars

What benefits do high bars bring to a dog's physical condition?

Repeated jumping over high bars strengthens the dog's hind limbs, back and abdominal muscles, while improving joint flexibility. It's also an excellent cardiovascular exercise that helps maintain a healthy body weight and prevent locomotor disorders.

From what age and for what breeds of dog is this obstacle suitable?

High bars are suitable for adult dogs of all breeds, from 12 to 18 months of age, depending on size, once bone growth is complete. The adjustable height allows you to accommodate both small and large breeds, adjusting the obstacle to their physical abilities.

How are the high bars attached to the floor? What type of floor is required?

The uprights of the high bars are designed to be embedded in a concrete base, guaranteeing permanent stability even under heavy use. A stabilized, grassy or wood-shavings-covered surface is recommended at the foot of the obstacle to cushion animal landings and prevent injury.

Will the bars come off easily if the dog hits them during the jump?

Yes, the crossing bars are deliberately designed to be removable and to come off without resistance at the slightest touch, in compliance with agility safety standards. This principle protects the dog from any risk of fall or injury in the event of imperfect crossing.

Does this equipment meet specific safety standards for public spaces?

Herkules Fitness equipment is designed to comply with the safety requirements applicable to collective outdoor spaces, incorporating materials without sharp edges, sturdy fixings and finishes suitable for intensive public use. We invite you to contact our team for details of the certifications specific to your project.

What maintenance is required to keep the high bars in good condition?

Maintenance of the high bars is limited to regular cleaning with water and periodic visual inspection of the fasteners and the bars themselves. Thanks to the hot-dip galvanizing and epoxy coating, no annual surface treatment is required, considerably reducing maintenance costs for local authorities.

Do High Bars comply with European standards?

Yes, the Herkules Fitness High Bars - Dog Agility Course are designed to comply with European standards for outdoor sports and leisure equipment.
