Overview

Hoop - Dog Agility course

Cerceau - Parcours Agility Chien is an obstacle designed to develop the dog's precision, coordination and confidence.

The exercise consists of aiming at the hoop and producing a fluid impulse, followed by a controlled landing, initially at low speed with guidance, then in more dynamic sequences as progress is made. Designed forpermanent outdoorinstallation, the module combines load-bearing posts and technical panels to guarantee durability and safety in public use. Screws are protected by plastic caps to prevent snagging and facilitate maintenance. The standard layout is anchored at 60 cm with partial concreting on level ground, ensuring excellent durability. Compact and easy to read for the dog, Cerceau - Parcours Agility Chien can be used as a stand-alone module or as part of a complete outdoor dog course for communities, dog clubs, campsites and leisure facilities. Depending on size and level, the approach can be adjusted (run-up, entry angle, trajectory height) to work on proprioception, visual targeting and speed management, while reinforcing the human-dog bond through safe, playful progress.

Frequently asked questions : Hoop

What benefits does the hoop exercise bring to the dog?

Passing through the hoop develops the dog's trajectory precision, proprioception and self-confidence. By targeting the opening and adjusting its impulse, the animal learns to control its speed and posture when crossing. It's a complete exercise, beneficial both physically and mentally.

At what age can a dog start hooping?

Initiation to hooping can begin as early as 12 to 18 months of age, when the dog's bone growth is sufficiently advanced to avoid any joint risk. For young puppies, it's best to work statically, first getting the animal used to passing through the ring on the ground, before gradually raising it.

On what type of floor can this hoop be installed?

The obstacle is designed to be anchored on different types of surface: lawn, compacted soil or stabilized area. Installation on soft ground is recommended to cushion landings and protect the dog's joints. Sturdy anchoring is essential to guarantee stability during speed passages.

Is the hoop suitable for high-traffic community use?

Yes, the Herkules Fitness hoop is specifically designed for collective environments such as public dog parks, agility clubs and educational facilities. Its galvanized steel structure and meticulous finish enable it to withstand intensive use without compromising animal safety.

What maintenance is required to keep this obstacle in good condition?

Maintenance of the hoop is minimal, thanks to the anti-corrosion treatment of the galvanized steel. Rinsing with clean water in the event of mud accumulation and regular visual inspection of fixings and structure are all that's required. Should any part deteriorate, please contact Herkules Fitness for a suitable replacement.

Is the height of the hoop adjustable to suit different dog morphologies?

The hoop is designed to adapt to different dog sizes, thanks to a height-adjustment system. This modularity makes it possible to adjust the difficulty of the exercise according to the animal's size and level, making the obstacle equally usable for small breeds and large dogs.
